This is Buildwell.
Nearly 300 years ago, right here in Philadelphia, Benjamin Franklin formed a group called the Junto.
A small group of craftsmen, tradesmen and thinkers who came together with a simple idea: surround yourself with good people, challenge each other to get better, and build something bigger than yourself.
In a lot of ways, that idea feels familiar.
Buildwell started in 2020 with a belief that construction could be done better. That craftsmanship still mattered. That your word mattered. That the people you surrounded yourself with mattered.
We didn’t have a big team, a long list of projects or a reputation to lean on.
We had a standard.
Six years later, this photo represents what that standard has become.
Carpenters. Superintendents. Project managers. Operations. Leadership. Craftsmen.
Different backgrounds. Different roles. One goal.
People willing to challenge each other, learn from each other and hold each other accountable to something bigger than any one of us.
We’re proud of the buildings we’ve created across Philadelphia.
But we’re even more proud of the group we’re building behind them.
Franklin and the Junto believed that when good people came together with a shared purpose, they could leave their city better than they found it.
That’s not a bad blueprint.
We’re just getting started.
Many cut corners. Few Buildwell.
Buildwell, or not at all.
