We appreciate each and every client we are lucky enough to serve. But sometimes we are blessed with the opportunity to take on a really special project that means so much to the customer and to us.

Tom is certainly one of those customers and his home is certainly one of those projects. When you have a home that you built yourself with the help of family and friends like Tom does, you have a deep attachment to that home. We felt honored that Tom let several of us into his home and gave us not only the full tour, but the story of how a little piece of property turned into a home that is absolutely overflowing with memories. You could almost see Tom reliving the days of construction and memories of his children playing as he told us all about the place he has called home for over forty years.

So when Tom put his trust in our hands, we took the mission to provide his home with the best possible roof very seriously. So serious that we made an event along with a cookout and everything out of the project. We got to meet just about Tom's entire family and they got to meet just about the entire Tesson family during the course of the project.

Since Tom wants to pass this home along to his children one day, he wanted a roof that would not only look amazing, but stand the test of time. In our crazy Midwest climate, that can mean standing strong to blazing summers, freezing winters, violent winds, large hail and everything else that our weather can throw at a roof. There was only one option as far as we were concerned, and that is Unified Steel Stone Coated. Today we celebrate the retirement of our beloved Mama T. She has embodied the role of the matriarch of Tesson Roofing from the very beginning. So there's no way we would send her off without a proper party and a warm thank you from everyone.

With so many employees who go back well before Tesson Roofing was ever even an idea as friends of Brett's, Mama T was more than just an employee here, she was like a bonus mom to so many. And while our waists may breathe a collective sigh of relief at the sudden reduction of delicious food and sweet treats around the office, her presence here will be sorely missed by all.

Thank you for everything, Mama T. Now go and enjoy that retirement and come back to visit us anytime!

We are beyond devastated to announce the loss of one of our own. Armando Cervantes was an absolute joy to be around and always offered a smile and a warm greeting anytime you saw him. Armando first came to us through the H2B program last year as a seasonal worker and he fit right in immediately. He was to join us for another roofing season this coming week when sadly, his life was prematurely ended in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 10th.

Armando is survived by his wife, three children and many others who loved him dearly. We have set up a fundraiser to help his family with expenses so that they can focus on being there for one another as the grieve the loss of their beloved Armando. If you are able to contribute, we ask that you do so. If not, we ask for your thoughts and prayers that his family may find strength in each other and their faith in God. Armando was a man of God who knew the lord and has been called to be at God's side earlier than anyone expected or was ready for.

We share these photos of Armando so that everyone may remember him for the man he truly was. Above everything else, he was a good man who brought joy and smiles to everyone around him. We love you, Armando, and we will all miss you.

To Our Friends & Neighbors,

It's no secret that we are under a severe weather threat today. We hope that you will all first and foremost exercise the utmost caution today to keep yourselves and your loved ones safe. Keep your TVs and radios tuned to local stations and take all warnings/sirens seriously.

Should any of our friends & neighbors find themselves in an area affected by storms, please remember to research who you let on your roof and who you hire to help you with storm damage to your home. Ensure that they are a locally owned and operated company, check their standing with the BBB, and see what other people have to say about them in their Google reviews.

Enduring storm damage is a scary event and the repair process can be long and costly. Make sure you select a reputable local contractor with the experience and integrity to walk you through the process from start to finish.

All 57 members of our staff will be leaving early today so they can be home safe with their families should the severe storms hit. But we will ALL be on standby/extended hours and ready to jump into action to help our friends & neighbors with any emergency services needed should you find yourself in need of immediate assistance. And we will remain on extended hours until the last person who needs us has been helped.
