*Celebrating 10 Years*
Like many small businesses - we started with a dream, a loan from mom and dad and a lot of unknowns. We moved our little family in with Treys parents and took a gamble. For weeks Trey worked in the field during the day and punched numbers in the computer at night. (With only several questions to Leigh about how to work a computer at 11pm.)
We started with magnets on trucks and then added a small crew and a truck. Then another truck which begged the first question of a growing company "where do we keep all this stuff?" The answer? The U-Haul Storage on 8th Street where the guys met us each morning, a separate unit at the Storage on Sadler and the dining room corner for all the paperwork (or World Wide Headquarters as it was known back then.)
Through connections and long time friendships we eventually found our way to 206 S. 11th Street and hired our first office manager. The shop was a sight to see. We used folding tables and office chairs cobbled together from resale sites. We hung photos of the kids on the walls and started giving back to the community- always for the kids - FBHS Mighty Marching Pirates, the ESA and Fernandina Board Riders, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Little League Baseball, America's Youth - all wonderful organizations we love to support year after year.
We purchased the building in 2017 and spent a little money to create a finished office - no more jail break window. We bought real furniture and even a nice shop fridge!
We added more vans (and a few boom trucks) and put our name to many a special projects on the island. The Train Depot, 8 Flags at Egans Creek, Dickens on Centre, the Shrimp Festival, MOCAMA.
In year nine we expanded our reach and added a sister company (Coastal HiFi, LLC) to our roster something bigger and more challenging than we could have imagined.
None of this would have been possible without the hard work of our employees. Of our current 17, 6 have been with us for for nearly half of our time in business. We've sent and graduated two electricians through the NEFBA apprenticeship program. Every time a customer leaves us a review, a note or a call of praise it puts a smile on our face. We are truly a family.
It is incredible to believe we've sent over 10,000 invoices to 3,000 customers in such a short - yet long time.
Thank you so much to our customers, our family and our friends for all the repeat calls and recommendations.
