Steve replacing 12 bricks on top of this antebellum home chimney crown. The bricks have fallen off over the years & customer kept them, because of being painted red years & years ago.

As of yesterday, we finished with the "Inspection/Sweep'n part of the "Mark Apartments" 96 fireplaces.
Now we get started on the repairs part of it, changing brick panels, back, bottom, & sides, that will have to b cut to size, alongside with changing the grates & screens.

Inside a chimney with no flue tile. Years & years & years of water coming in through the crown, had no chimney cap to keep out the water. The water has washed out the minerals out of the mortar & has made it crumble. This is a pic after sweep'n. When they burned a fire, smoke was coming into the house inside the attic. The only way the customer knew they had a problem was when they were put'n up Christmas decorations into the attic they smelled smoke & call'd me.
This chimney is dangerous & has to be relined with a stainless steal liner.

Crumbling crown/wash on a chimney. More water problems. No chimney cap, water coming in the chimney along with seeping through bricks inside the house. We installed a cap & customer wants us to wait till April to come back & repair. Will upload pics of crown/ wash when we're finished.

Steve waterproof'n a chimney in Natchez. Customer had water seeping through the bricks inside the house. This is a great product & it stops the seeping. $1.30 per sq. ft.
