Project Update: Woodyard Hope Village

Significant progress continues at Woodyard Hope Village in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where SEH is proud to be partnering with Dream Finders Homes and Goldstone Properties on the complete site development of this future 248-townhome community.

Since breaking ground in February 2026, our crews have made remarkable progress across the site in just a few short months. Through a coordinated effort between our field and management teams, SEH has completed mass grading operations throughout the development, constructed the project’s main spine road, Marlboro Pike, and successfully delivered the full site development package for Phase 1, including utilities, roadway construction, and base paving for all 78 lots.

The completion of Marlboro Pike represents a major milestone for the project, establishing the backbone of the future community and providing critical access for continued development throughout the site. In addition, our teams have installed key infrastructure necessary to support future phases while maintaining an aggressive construction schedule.

With Phase 1 complete, our focus has shifted to Phase 2 utility installation and site development. Work continues to progress ahead of schedule, and we anticipate completing Phase 2 base paving in August, delivering an additional 63 lots for home construction.

Once complete, Woodyard Hope Village will provide 248 new townhomes to the Upper Marlboro area, helping meet the growing demand for quality housing while contributing to the continued growth and development of the community.

From earthwork and utilities to roadway construction and paving, the dedication, planning, and teamwork displayed by our crews continue to drive this project forward. We are proud of the progress achieved to date and look forward to building on this momentum as we advance through the remaining phases of construction.

Progress continues at The Blake at Somerset in Baltimore, Maryland, where SEH is proud to be working for our client, DAVIS Construction, on this exciting mixed-use development.

SEH crews recently completed the full undercut of the building pad and are now progressing through wet and dry utility installation along with construction of the precast underground stormwater management system. This phase of the project presented a unique challenge, as the new stormwater system had to tie in precisely with an existing precast underground stormwater management structure, requiring careful coordination, planning, and ex*****on by our team to ensure a seamless connection.

Once complete, The Blake at Somerset will feature 190 modern apartment homes, a Lidl grocery store, and two levels of structured parking. Residents will also enjoy a variety of amenities, including a club room, fitness center, business center, and rooftop terrace, creating a vibrant new living destination in Baltimore.

From complex underground infrastructure to preparing the site for future vertical construction, our crews continue to make steady progress on this important project. We look forward to sharing more updates as The Blake at Somerset continues to take shape.

Entering the Final Stages at Copperleaf

SEH continues to make great progress at Copperleaf in Hanover, Maryland, where we are providing the site development package for our client, Koch Homes. Once complete, this beautiful community will feature 58 spacious single-family homes with award-winning floor plans, offering convenient access to Arundel Mills, major commuter routes, and nearby parks and recreation.

Crews have completed the majority of the site development package, including grading, underground utilities, stormwater management infrastructure, paving, and associated site improvements. With the backbone of the community now in place, Koch Homes is actively moving forward with the remaining home construction throughout the development.

As the homebuilding phase progresses, SEH will continue into the final stages of the project, including completion of the bioretention facilities and final surface paving. These final improvements will help bring Copperleaf one step closer to welcoming its future residents.

We’re proud to partner with Koch Homes on this exciting community and look forward to sharing the final transformation as Copperleaf nears completion.

Midyear Recap: Building Momentum Through 2026

As we reach the halfway point of the year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the projects, partnerships, and progress that have defined 2026 so far.

From clearing and mass grading to underground utilities, paving, concrete, stormwater facilities, and final project milestones, SEH crews have been hard at work across a wide range of developments throughout the region. Each jobsite represents more than just earth moving and infrastructure — it represents communities taking shape, businesses growing, and future opportunities being built from the ground up.

This year has brought a strong mix of newly awarded projects, active construction sites, major milestones, and completed phases. We’re grateful for the trust placed in our team by our clients, partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and dedicated employees who continue to make it all happen day in and day out.

Southfields; Elkton, MD

Building a community takes more than one project — it takes vision, infrastructure, and strong partnerships.

SEH is proud to play a significant role across multiple facets of the growing Southfields development in Elkton, Maryland, contributing to the infrastructure, residential growth, and recreational amenities that shape this expansive mixed-use community.

Working alongside valued clients including Ray Jackson of Stonewall Capital, Sideline Properties, and Modern Living Solutions, SEH’s involvement has spanned several interconnected projects throughout the development.

SEH successfully completed work on Southfield Boulevard, delivering critical roadway infrastructure and internal connectivity serving the greater Southfields community. In conjunction with that effort, the Southfields SHA project brought major improvements along MD-213, including roadway widening, underground utility installations, traffic signal improvements, and the connection to Southfield Boulevard to enhance access into the development.

Within the residential components, SEH has supported multiple parcels helping drive future growth within the community. Southfields Parcel C for Stonewall Capital includes the complete sitework package supporting what is becoming a new residential neighborhood, with D.R. Horton constructing the homes. Additionally, Southfields Parcel D for Modern Living Solutions is fully complete. It has transformed into a large-scale apartment community featuring extensive site infrastructure, utilities, concrete, paving, stormwater management systems, and community amenities.

Adding to the community’s unique identity, the Southfields Sports Complex represents one of SEH’s most dynamic projects to date, where SEH is serving as both design lead and general contractor on a destination featuring athletic fields, parking infrastructure, lighting, and future entertainment and gathering spaces.

From completed roadway and infrastructure improvements to residential development and recreational amenities, it has been exciting to help bring the Southfields vision to life and watch this community continue to evolve.

Project Update: Longview Ridge

Progress continues at Longview Ridge in Hunt Valley, Maryland, where SEH is proud to be partnering with our client, Atapco Properties, on the complete sitework package for this exciting new community.

Once complete, this 40-acre development will feature 173 luxury townhomes built by NV Homes. Conveniently located near I-83, the Hunt Valley Light Rail Station, and Hunt Valley Towne Centre, the community will also offer a pavilion area, scenic walkways, and walking trails throughout.

SEH crews are currently completing the final bioretention facility, an important stormwater management feature designed to naturally filter runoff, improve water quality, and help manage drainage throughout the site. Once complete, curb and gutter replacement, along with roadway patching, will take place in preparation for the final surface paving of the last phase of this project.

We’re excited to see the finish line approaching and look forward to completing the final phase of work on this thoughtfully designed community. Stay tuned as Longview Ridge continues to take shape!

🚧 Milestone Crossing Continues to Take Shape in Jessup, MD! 🚧

SEH is proud to continue progress at Milestone Crossing in Jessup, Maryland, where we are performing the full site work package for our client .

Once complete, this new residential community will feature:
🏢 Two four-story apartment buildings totaling 104 studio, one-bedroom, and one-bedroom + den units
🏡 79 three-bedroom townhomes with private garages
✨ Community amenities including a clubhouse, fitness center, pool, outdoor kitchen, and dog wash

SEH crews have recently been focused on final grading, topsoil placement, concrete preparation, driveway preparation, and driveway paving throughout the townhome sections of the development.

We’re looking forward to completing the remaining townhome sections and beginning construction of the project’s bioretention facilities as this exciting community continues to move closer to completion.

It’s great to see the vision for Milestone Crossing continuing to come to life, and we’re proud to play a role in building another quality residential development in the region.

Hanover Trade Center- Project Update

SEH has officially broken ground on Hanover Trade Center, located in Hanover, Maryland, for our client . SEH was awarded the complete site-work package for this new industrial warehouse development and is excited to continue building momentum with another strong start to the year.

Our scope of work includes clearing and demolition of an existing house, sediment control, mass grading, segmental retaining walls, wet and dry utilities, concrete, stone paving, underground stormwater management facilities, and micro bio-retention facilities.

SEH crews are already making progress on site, with clearing operations for perimeter controls currently underway. Trap and basin construction is scheduled to begin next week as work continues to move forward.

We’re excited to partner with Doyle Construction on our first project together and look forward to bringing this development to life safely and efficiently from the ground up.
