Thermal Expansion!
Thermo International was happy to assist one of our customers who had a
challenging thermal expansion to perform for their customer. This large rotor
from a high horsepower low RPM motor is 109” in diameter (with the poles
removed) and is shrunk on to a 14” diameter shaft. The large diameter and
relatively small shaft made this application more difficult than most thermal
expansions.
