One of our customers recently faced an unusual challenge. Their end client had been trying to remove a stubborn strainer from a large industrial valve for several years—without success.

When you’re working with the massive bolts found on industrial turbines, how you apply the heat matters.

Many large turbine bolts are manufactured with a center hole designed for traditional cal rod heaters. Thermo International’s induction bolt heating system is engineered to take advantage of that same heater hole—but deliver heat much more rapidly.

Right now, our team is building two new chillers, with several more already lined up behind them. Why? Because when our customers need equipment for an upcoming outage or an unexpected project, we want to be ready.

Adaptability for Many Processes! When a small local machine shop needed to case harden jaws for a hydraulic cylinder bench, Thermo International was there to help. The incredible adaptability of our 120kW induction power supply means that with a few quick internal changes, we can adapt to bolt heating coils or flexible coils on a retaining ring or anything in between. These jaw plates are 10” X 10” X 1” with teeth designed to grab and hold a large hydraulic cylinder down to a custom table being built by that machine shop to repack the seals on large hydraulic cylinders. These jaws were heated to the desired temperature in approximately 1 minute, heating just behind the teeth and providing the heat before adding the case hardening compound, then a quench and retemper cycle. 973-970-9500 - www.ThermoInternational.com
