My Story... well I won’t bore you with a long drawn out history of my life, but I will tell you how this business came to be. A few years ago my two sons started working and going to college and were gone all the time. I know what a lot of you are thinking ... “yea so?” that’s pretty normal. But, I spent most of my adult life self-employed so I could be a stay at home dad. Well needless to say the day had come when I looked around and realized they didn’t need me in that capacity anymore and I was totally lost. What the heck does a “retired stay home dad” do? I need to do something to feel productive and start contributing to my family in a new way.

My business was inspired by my grandfathers memory. He used to work in his wood-shop hours upon hours on end and he passionately called it his "saw dust therapy". When I was looking for a name for my business I couldn't help but be inspired by him and hence the name and business was born. For generations my family has worked with wood in some form or another, you might even call it a passion of ours. With that comes knowledge and experience and a love for working with your hands and watching your thoughts and ideas come to shape. Nothing excites me more than the look of a surprised or very pleased customer. Inside you know that they now own a piece of you, your time, your effort, your skill, your passion in an object that you created. Hopefully with a little care on the customers part, that piece or project could live on itself for generations.
