Maple Shade had its beginnings in the late 1800s and was formally established in 1922. Drivers will soon be reminded that they are driving through this historic area as the Maple Shade Monument is coming to life.

The East Whiteland Monument is coming alive! A small army of landscapers is installing 11 evergreen arborvitae, 5 Armstrong maples, 47 sea green junipers, 45 gro-low sumacs, 41 honeysuckle privets, 33 Shenandoah switchgrasses, 100 Russian sages, 50 walker low catmint, 200 yarrows, and 95 Mexican feather grasses!

Introducing the Raritan Clocktower! John Morgan Thomas Landscape Architects consulted on the design to ensure it was authentic to the Raritan Township historical design aesthetic. The stonework by QuarryCut uses a custom blend of local rock selected to match the nearby 1759 Vought House.
