Neighborhoods spoke up about speeding, and The City of Grand Rapids listened. ROWE got to work designing roundabouts and curb extensions to address speeding concerns and improve safety across the city, providing survey and storm water review, design, permitting, and full construction management services.

Construction is already underway at Giddings Avenue and Sigsbee Street, with additional locations coming soon. Big thanks to ROWE Design Project Manager, Hailey Savola and ROWE Construction Project Manager, Nate Whitting, PE, and the entire crew for hitting the ground running, and to the City of Grand Rapids team for their continued partnership. We look forward to seeing these intersections transform this fall!

Construction season is now underway across West Michigan and you may soon notice several new roundabouts in Grand Rapids and Kent County.

Sam Taylor joined ROWE as a Survey Intern in 2019 with a CAD background and a willingness to learn. Today, she's our Remote Sensing Project Coordinator, helping manage aerial mapping and LiDAR projects that support teams across the company.

Whether she's organizing hundreds of project files, improving workflows, or using technology to support field crews, Sam is always looking for new ways to improve efficiency and deliver high-quality results.

What has made the biggest difference throughout her career? The people around her.

The new Bicentennial Park Splash Pad is officially open! 💦

This project reflects the The City Of Ann Arbor - Government's commitment to creating vibrant and accessible community spaces. The splash pad expands opportunities for outdoor recreation and provides an inclusive gathering space for residents and visitors of all ages.

ROWE was proud to provide landscape architecture, civil engineering, and surveying services to support a wide range of upgrades throughout the park. In addition to the splash pad, the project included improved parking lots and driveways, ADA-accessible pathways, stormwater system enhancements, utility extensions, playground improvements, a renovated restroom building, pavilion upgrades, and coordination with OSI solar power parking lot canopies.

Congratulations to the City of Ann Arbor on this exciting milestone! We look forward to seeing families enjoy this community space for many years to come.
