Despite having cooler temps and some rain in our forecast, now is a great time to throw out a friendly reminder about good lawn watering practices!🌱
Do you know watering your lawn in the morning before 10 a.m. is the most effective?
During this time it is cooler and winds tend to be more mild, allowing water to soak into the soil and be absorbed by the grass roots effectively.
If you must water in the evening, aim between the hours of 4 and 6 p.m. when the sun’s rays aren’t as strong. This will also give the grass blades time to dry before nightfall.
Focus on deep, infrequent waterings 2-3 times per week for a total of an inch to 1.5 inches throughout the week. Keep in mind, an hour of watering typically produces an inch of water.
Cheers to a gorgeous summer!☀️
