Amidst our ongoing efforts to navigate the saturated pine markets due to the 2023 drought and pine beetle epidemic , we're excited to share some promising news with landowners. We are seeing stability in most hardwood markets and signs of improvement for specialty products. We are currently in search of hardwood products to meet our mill orders. Timber harvesting this time of year tends to be very difficult. It's cold, rains come in waves twice a week, and all vegetation is dormant. All these conditions combined makes for very soggy conditions. Only certain properties that are extremely well drained will allow logging during these times. Owning timber on this type of soil allows you to capitalize on increased prices due to mills being low on inventory. Give us a call to see if your property is conducive to wet weather logging and capitalize on some great prices during the rainy season.
