🔥 Important Home Electrical Safety Reminder 🔥

We recently responded to a home where an outlet overheated and caught fire. After inspection, it was found that the home had aluminum wiring, but the outlet had been connected with copper wiring without the proper approved connectors. This can create dangerous loose connections, overheating, and serious fire risks.

To make matters worse, a **space heater** was plugged into the outlet at the time. Space heaters draw a heavy electrical load and can quickly expose existing wiring problems.

⚠️ **What homeowners should know:**
• If your home was built during certain years, it may contain aluminum wiring.
• Aluminum wiring requires proper connectors and devices rated for aluminum use.
• Space heaters should be used with caution and never on questionable outlets or overloaded circuits.
• Warm outlets, flickering lights, burning smells, or tripping breakers should be checked immediately.

🔌 The R — Kyle Rayborn

Kyle Rayborn and his wife, Katie, live in Florence and are the proud parents of three children. Kyle is an active member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church and has a genuine passion for helping people.

If you ask Kyle his favorite part of being an electrician, he’ll jokingly say the “company meetings” he and Jonathan hold at the restaurant they call WH Enterprises (better known as Waffle House). But what he truly loves is seeing everything come together — putting the pieces in place, flipping the switch, and watching it work. There’s deep satisfaction in building something that serves others well.

What Kyle values most about business ownership is the ability to live intentionally — investing in family and friendships while using the gifts God has given him to serve and glorify Him.

⚡ The C — Jonathan Carter

Jonathan Carter and his wife, Kala, are Florence natives who recently made their home in Harrisville with their four children. Jonathan is also an active member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church and is always ready to lend a hand.

Coming from a line of electricians, Jonathan was inspired early on to follow the same path. His favorite part of the trade is working with his hands and using his God-given problem-solving skills to help others. Bringing light, power, and peace of mind to families isn’t just a job — it’s a calling.

When he’s not being a power superhero on the job, he’s a superhero at home, spending time outdoors hunting with Kala and their kids.

Kyle and Jonathan attended electrical school together through IBEW Local 480 and later discovered they had lived just four houses apart — something they didn’t realize until their children became friends. A strong friendship formed, and soon the two families became family.

As their families grew, so did a shared desire to be present husbands and fathers while doing work that honored God and served others. From that calling, RNC Electrical Services, LLC was born — built on faith, family values, and the belief that customers deserve honest work done right the first time.

RNC Electrical Services, LLC recently had the opportunity to step outside our day-to-day work and serve on a mission trip to Reynosa, Mexico ❤️

Our team partnered with Senda De Vida, a church in Reynosa, Mexico, to help build a sister church for a nearby community. While there, we also assisted their pastor with much-needed repairs—rebuilding a roof over the cafeteria, installing showers in the apartments, and helping wherever hands were needed.

One of the most special parts of the trip was getting to pour into the next generation by hosting children’s ministry events and spending time with the kids. Their joy and faith were truly humbling and unforgettable.
