Now is the time to prepare for what could be a weekend full of winter weather. Below are some tips to help you get started with your preparation.

* Food and Water for yourself, your family, and pets.
* Bring all pets indoors.
* Have all RX meds filled. If you use any type of medical equipment or oxygen be sure you have enough to last.
* Flash lights with plenty of extra batteries
* Propane tanks and gas cans filled
* Portable generators in good working order. DO NOT OPERATE GENERATORS INSIDE YOUR HOME OR GARAGE!
* Space heaters appropriate for indoor use.
* Know where your water main is located and have quick access to it incase you need to turn off the water.

Please keep the Hatchell family and our Walkup Electrical family in your thoughts and prayers. Last night the Hatchell’s lost a great husband, brother, and uncle; while Walkup lost a friend, and long time employee, James Hatchell. James was an easy going man, who worked hard and faced all challenges head on. He was always good for a laugh, was a quiet leader, and wanted to teach “green guys” the trade. His smile and presence will be greatly missed!
