Just some good Ole 12x24s... ill take an easy one considering it seems like 90% of the showers I do are all small format tile and mosaics. Super clean on this one, starting from proper prep using a full schluter system. Flo-fx drain and grate, template on the floor (industry standards suggest floors before walls) like all our showers following ALL industry standards and TCNA handbook recommendations on our installs. We also prefer to pour all our pans instead of foam, this provides a perfect level all the way around the base and guarantees proper slope for each tile application. 100 % silicone in all corners or as standards require all "changes of plain". Thats alot of sheet mosaic! No sheet lines here, as I always say, proper prep, proper planning and proper coverage makes for a great job that lasts like it's supposed to.

Historic homes always present great challenges. Walls are never "flat" floors are typically way out of level. However, when you take your time and do the process correctly you end up with a great final result. Good work ain't cheap, cheap work ain't good, and good work isnt fast!

**LONG POST ALERT**
Small bath, big pain! 🥴
We finessed it as usual, though!!
Sometimes that's just how they go. This small house started out as an original "homeowner special", which there's nothing wrong with; however, no wall was flat or level, floors were way off-kilter and so on.

I started with leveling the tub because it was installed 1/2 inch out of level, niche was framed out incorrectly as well. Well, now it's RIGHT! Floors have now been properly cleaned, prepped, and installed. Walls were wet-shimmed using schluter kerdi board to ensure FLAT and LEVEL walls!

We still lack pencil-rail peices for the Wayne's coat but we'll be back to finish that when we install the kitchen backsplash.

Just a friendly reminder:
*Good work isn't cheap, cheap work isn't good!!* Dont go for the lowest bidder because more than likely you'll end up paying for it later when it's time for repairs you shouldn't be having to do!

A recent shower I completed. I had to remove the pressed wood, do a little more work to get that niche supported properly. Took too long with tile delivery delays etc but it's a wrap!

One of the biggest issues with most installations is improper coverage, bond transfer, and the importance of understanding and applying these methods. It's not all about who's got the best price, folks! Good work ain't cheap, cheap work ain't good! As a CTI ( #1728) I do everything I can to follow proper installation methods and follow all ANSI standards for all tile work!
