Mr. Fix-It

Mr. Fix-It General contracting, repair, remodeling, new construction and professional handyman services. Mr. Fix-It™ has been "fixin" things for about 42 years. Thus, Mr.

I built decks, patios and such for friends and friends of friends and was paid in various ways, usually with tools. Once I was paid with a video camera for building a deck. The work was always done on the weekend or after I came home from my "real" job. About 24 years
ago after receiving a reciprocating saw for building a deck on a friends home, my wife grabbed me by the collar and said "Listen u

p Mr. Fixit, your next free job is going to be building a patio cover for me, and your
prices are going to be adjusted". Fix-It™ was born. We're a little bigger now, with 14 crews working in all areas of construction. I personally perform about 35% of the work, but at some point, I'm at every job, (excluding the handyman/honey do stuff). I meet every customer and inspect all work performed. I own the company and my name is associated with all work done, so it will be done right the 1st time, every time. My goal is long term. I want customers for life, not one project. I want you to call me for any/all needs
regarding your home or business. Repair, improve, or something brand new. So... For those of you in the corporate world who don't have time, don't know how, or simply have a job that you don't want to do, please give us a call. We'll take care of what you need to do while you take care of what
you want to do.

Everyone loves a deal – including scammers. Con artists often offer too good to be true discounts in the hope that price-conscious consumers will jump on these “deals” without doing their research.

Recently, BBB Scam Tracker has seen numerous reports of scammers impersonating well-known companies and offering discounts, some of which are COVID-19 themed.

Stay alert...

Con artists are impersonating reputable companies and using the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse to promote too-good-to-be-true offers. Don't jump on any deal without doing your research.

The house is three times stronger than a standard home made with quick building blocks. The concrete mix required very little wire-mesh as reinforcement like other projects do because it had fibers pre-blended into the material.

Living in Texas, hail is a very serious threat in the May to July months. Many of us, including myself have trucks too large to fit in the garage.

Even if you don't own a truck, lots of folks park in the driveway because their garage is full of other "stuff".

I've looked into this product, (made in Gunter, TX), for the last several years and they were cost prohibitive. For whatever reason, the prices have dropped dramatically. Time of year maybe?

Something to look into to protect your $50k - $75K vehicles/work trucks...

Not a major concern in Texas but...

As the snow starts to drift against your house, homeowners with high-efficiency furnaces should make sure their fresh air intake and exhaust pipes are free of snow. They're usually white plastic pipes that come out of the side of a home. A blocked intake pipe or exhaust vent could result in carbon monoxide poisoning. The same is true for dryer vents. Check vents frequently during periods of heavy or blowing snow.

Carbon monoxide, also known as CO2, is called the “invisible killer” because it’s a colorless, odorless, and poisonous gas. More than 150 people in the U.S. die every year from accidental CO2 poisoning from generators or fuel-burning appliances such as furnaces, stoves, water heaters and fire places. Breathing CO2 at high levels can kill you.

Make sure you have carbon monoxide alarms inside your home to provide an early warning of increasing CO levels. These alarms should be placed in a central location outside each sleeping area and on every level of your home. If the alarm goes off, or you think you may have CO2 in your home, call 911.

Make sure exits are clear of drifting snow also...
