🚨 Trust your wife’s nose! 🚨

While we were already on-site for other work, the homeowner mentioned she occasionally smelled gas downstairs. Her husband wasn’t convinced… but he admitted she’s usually the first to smell things nobody else can. 😅

30 minutes later, Emory Sr. and Jr. tracked down a gas leak at the furnace in this nearly 3,000 sq. ft. home.

Moral of the story: if your wife says she smells gas, it’s probably cheaper to listen to her than argue with her. 😂🐝

Not every plumbing repair is as simple as cutting the closest hole.

This commercial leak was hidden above the parking deck, but the customer wanted to avoid making access holes in areas visible to guests. That meant finding the closest concealed access point and working in an extremely tight space to reach the damaged pipe.

It took more planning, more effort, and a lot less room to work, but we were able to complete the repair while keeping the finished areas looking the way they should.

Sometimes the best plumbing work is the work you never notice.

Well, this guy had other plans.

He stopped by the van today ready to learn the plumbing trade. He paid close attention, supervised the toolbox inspection, and even tried to help with inventory.

💧 Basement Sewage Ejector Pump Replacement 💧

Customer reported issues with their basement sewage ejector system. After testing the pump, we found the motor had failed and replacement was the best option. We installed a new ejector pump, tested operation, and confirmed the system was working properly before leaving.

Some days the job gives you a reminder to slow down.

While working on Lake Lanier last Friday, we took a minute to stop, catch our breath, and appreciate the view. Between service calls, estimates, paperwork, and everything else life throws at us, it’s easy to stay focused on what’s next and forget to enjoy where you are.

A quick conversation overlooking the lake turned into a good reminder that not every moment has to be rushed.

No Trench Water Line Replacement
Most people hear “water line leak under the driveway” and immediately picture a jackhammer, a torn-up driveway, and a massive repair bill.

This leak had other plans.

We tracked down a stubborn leak hiding beneath the driveway and pulled a new water line with minimal disruption to the property. No unnecessary concrete demolition, no major mess, and a much faster path back to normal for the homeowner.

A tough leak, a smart solution, and one very relieved customer.

Customer received a notice from the city about continuous water usage and wanted to have the plumbing system checked for a possible hidden leak. After investigation and thermal imaging, we located what appears to be a slab leak affecting the kitchen island area behind the wall.

Once the wall was opened, significant moisture and mold growth were discovered from the ongoing leak. We were also able to recommend a trusted restoration company to begin addressing the affected materials and help prevent further damage while insurance gets involved.

We are currently working with the homeowner and insurance company on the next steps and will be returning at a later date to complete repairs.

Leaks under a slab can go unnoticed for a long time. If your water usage suddenly increases or you receive a notice from the city, it’s worth getting it checked before the damage spreads further.
