Today we located an existing sewer line for a future addition tie-in. During the process, we found early signs of root intrusion entering the clay sewer pipe.

We discussed the findings with both the homeowner and contractor and provided options for preventative maintenance, hydro jetting, root treatment, and potential replacement if needed.

No more digging!

We installed a new 6-inch septic tank riser to bring access closer to grade, making future pumping and inspections quick and easy. Once the soil settles, the riser will sit slightly above grade for easy locating and servicing.

Today’s camera inspection in Southern Indiana revealed an old clay sewer line over 200 feet long packed with mud and roots.

At 80 feet, we found a major break in the pipe and discovered the line had 0% fall, meaning solids can settle and cause recurring backups.

Sometimes clearing the clog is only part of the solution. A camera inspection helps uncover what’s really going on underground.

Those roots in the first picture didn't just appear in the sewer line—they found their way in through a separation or damaged section of pipe like the one shown in the second picture. Once roots find water and nutrients, they keep growing until they cause a blockage.

This customer also didn't have a proper cleanout, making access much more difficult. That's why we installed the cleanout shown in the third picture. A cleanout provides direct access to the sewer line for future drain cleaning, camera inspections, and maintenance.
