AML Construction

AML Construction Building Kentuckiana since 1956. AML Incorporated, established in 1956, as Arthur M Libs & Sons, began as a small residential concrete contractor.

As business grew throughout the years it began including commercial projects in all phases of concrete construction. With success and more time the company evolved into a general contracting service as well. The corporation has been recognized as one of the largest commercial concrete and general contractors in Louisville and Southern Indiana. In April of 1996 Arthur M Libs and Sons became a corpo

ration and shortened their namesake to AML, Inc, under the productive leadership of Robert E. Libs, AML’s president from 1967 to 2000. In February of 2000 Scott L. Welch became AML’s president and Robert E. Libs took on the position of Chairman of the Board. In 2006, Robert C. Libs was promoted to Chairman of the Board and Chrystina M. Blakeman was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. The company continues to grow and strives to be a leader in the industry.

WORK ANNIVERSARIES | September gives us another opportunity to celebrate the people who make AML Construction what it is.

We’re grateful for the hard work, dedication, and commitment our team brings to the job every day. Here’s to another year of building together!

ONE YEAR STRONGER | One year ago, AML Construction and Summit Construction officially joined forces, bringing together two respected Kentuckiana construction companies with more than a century of combined experience.

The merger brought together shared values, strong relationships, and a common commitment to quality construction, while creating new opportunities for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members.

AML’s experienced crews and 70-year legacy, combined with Summit’s expertise in industrial construction management, have strengthened the company’s ability to take on larger projects, expand into new markets, and continue growing throughout the region.

As AML Construction CEO Bobby Libs said when the merger was announced, “We’re building something that will last for generations.”

One year later, that work continues.

Before Redwire officially opened its new facility at Novaparke in Georgetown, AML Construction helped place this massive commissioned astronaut sculpture outside the building.

AML is proud to have built Redwire’s specialized aerospace and defense facility, where the company will research and develop microgravity technology with potential applications in pharmaceutical and biotechnological innovation.

From constructing the facility to helping set this astronaut in place, some of the work we get to do at AML is truly out of this world.
