AML Construction Senior Project Manager Eric Luckett has been named one of Louisville Business First’s 20 People to Know in Construction, recognizing construction professionals for their expertise and leadership in the local building industry.
Eric’s career reflects the values that have long shaped AML Construction: hard work, craftsmanship, leadership, and respect for the people who build.
"Construction has always been a part of my life. I grew up in a blue-collar family where my father and grandfather taught me the value of hard work and how to truly appreciate the results it brings. I am blessed to be able to share this with our customers."
In the feature, Eric also spoke about the value of hands-on experience in an industry where knowledge is often passed from one generation of builders to the next.
"Every day, I get the privilege of working alongside some of the brightest people in the industry. These individuals may not hold formal degrees but bring years of hands-on experience and knowledge passed down from seasoned professionals, rather than classroom learning.
The “school of hard knocks” has produced many industry leaders over the years, and I’m proud to say my experience reflects that same tradition of learning through hard work and hands-on dedication."
When asked about a project that stands out, Eric pointed to AML Construction’s recently completed work for Redwire in Georgetown, Indiana.
"I’m most proud of a recently completed project for Redwire, which involved relocating one of their local facilities to Georgetown, Ind. This ground-up, 35,000-square-foot tilt-wall building was designed to support advanced aerospace research and operations.
"The facility includes 64 administrative and engineering offices, three large conference rooms, a dedicated training and break area, 14 state-of-the-art laboratories, a 1,500-square-foot machine shop, a payload operations control center, and a 5,000-square-foot collaborative lab space that will be occupied by Indiana University Southeast.
This facility enables Redwire’s engineers, scientists, and technicians to design, fabricate, assemble, test, verify, and operate complex spaceflight research and manufacturing payloads and spacecraft control systems — all within a single, highly integrated environment."
