🚨With the high winds we experienced yesterday, the calls for roof repairs are already rolling in!

This is an important reminder worth sharing again: If you have a FORTIFIED roof, make sure any contractor performing repairs is FORTIFIED-certified and qualified to complete those repairs in accordance with FORTIFIED standards.

Improper repairs could jeopardize your FORTIFIED designation—and potentially the savings you receive on your wind insurance policy.

With potential severe weather headed our way this weekend, we’re taking a little pause from installs and pulling one from the archives instead. 🌧️

We’d rather wait for a better weather window than install a new shingle roof that may not have adequate time and conditions to properly seal before a storm arrives.

So, here’s one we never got around to sharing from this summer!

This home received a 24-gauge, 12” striated standing seam metal roof with snap-lock panels. Between the size of this roof and all the hips, valleys, transitions and details, this one gave our metal crew plenty to work with—and they did a beautiful job.

The property is surrounded by trees, so getting unobstructed drone photos was nearly impossible, but this roof was too good to leave sitting in the camera roll.

Not every roof leak is easy to spot from the outside. 🔍🏠

When a tenant at a local condominium in Foley reported a leak in a secondary bedroom, our team went to work finding the source.

An exterior inspection revealed no obvious issues, but a closer look inside the attic uncovered water-damaged decking near the sidewall flashing.

The culprit? Improperly installed flashing with exposed nail penetrations that hadn’t been properly sealed.

Within a week of the initial inspection, our crew returned to complete the repair.

✔️ Removed the affected roofing materials

✔️ Replaced two sections of damaged roof decking

✔️ Corrected the flashing installation

✔️ Installed new leak barrier protection and restored the shingles

Finding the source matters just as much as fixing the damage.

We replaced the existing shingle roof on this home with a 26-gauge black Strong Panel metal roofing system, supplied by Dixie Supply & Baker Metal.

We paired the panels with coordinating WoodZAC lifetime screws for a clean, finished look and a roofing system built with longevity in mind.

We’ve built a great working relationship with the team at Dixie Supply, and we appreciate having a local supplier we can count on for quality materials and service.

The black metal completely changed the look of this home—and those drone shots speak for themselves. 😍

Happy Friday from the rooftops! ☀️

Every week brings something different, and this one was a perfect reminder that roofing is about much more than shingles.

This week we:
🔹 Replaced two skylight tubes damaged by golf balls. (Yes… golf balls! ⛳️)
🔹 Installed proper roof ventilation on a home that was severely under-vented to help improve attic airflow and extend the life of the roof.
🔹 Replaced a deteriorated chimney cap before it had the chance to create bigger issues.

Sometimes the smallest repairs are the ones that prevent the biggest headaches.

Every once in a while, someone reminds you that there are still really good people in this world.

Yesterday, that someone was Taylor.

He saw a mom stranded with a flat tire in the Alabama heat, pulled over without being asked, grabbed his tools, and changed her tire while she waited safely with her little one in the air conditioning.

He didn’t do it because anyone was watching. He didn’t do it for recognition.

He did it because that’s just who he is.

We’re incredibly proud to have Taylor on our team—not just because he’s knowledgeable about roofing and makes our business better, but because he’s the kind of person who shows up when someone needs help.
