Our Story

After 9 years of working in the air-conditioning field, Tyler Higginbotham decided to sit for his Alabama HVAC license exam - and in December 2012, 5 Star Air Conditioning was born. Our evolution has been slow and steady and our focus has been, and always will be, to help people solve their HVAC problems with honest information. From repairing older equipment for as long as it’s feasible to replacing it when it’s time, and from checking your system twice a year so you have peace of mind to the emergency call when your unit has stopped working, we pride ourselves on listening to your needs and finding solutions to best fit those needs.

5 Star Air Conditioning has grown from one man working out of a pickup truck to having three fully equipped vans running through the streets of Baldwin County and six team members. We have clients in Foley, Fairhope, Daphne, Spanish Fort, Elberta, Lillian, Magnolia Springs, Summerdale, Silverhill, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and everywhere in between, so there is a good chance you’ve seen us in your neighborhood.

We are recognized by the State of Alabama as a veteran-owned business and we have several veterans on our team. We are committed to helping build the next generation of HVAC professionals through our registered apprenticeship program with the Department of Labor and our involvement with the local trade school.

We are dedicated to bettering our community through our membership in the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, volunteering our time during events such as the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival and supporting our local high school during Friday night football games. We live, work and play in this beautiful slice of paradise and are grateful for the many people who have helped 5 Star Air Conditioning become what we are today.
