As the 📚school year✏️ comes to an end, we thought this would be a great time to highlight the Lindoo School Apartments & Townhomes project in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.

This adaptive reuse project transformed the former Ladysmith Elementary School into a new residential community, giving the building a new chapter while preserving parts of its history and character.

It is always exciting to see a space that once served generations of students continue serving the community in a different way.

Last week, we had the opportunity to celebrate Nolan as he officially graduated from the 🎓ABC of Wisconsin Carpentry Apprenticeship Program.

Throughout the last four years, Nolan has worked as a construction apprentice through this structured, hands-on program that combines classroom education with real job site experience.

Over the years, we have had the opportunity to watch Nolan continue to grow both personally and professionally, and we could not be prouder of everything he has accomplished throughout this program and at Northcentral Construction.

Nolan’s favorite part of the trade is framing, and if you run into him on a job site, there is a good chance you will hear country music playing and spot a chocolate milk nearby.

Each year, we celebrate the milestone work anniversaries of our incredible employees with a Friday afternoon cookout. Our team heads back to the shop early, we fire up the grill, and enjoy an afternoon together.

This year, we were honored to celebrate Al and his 🎉30 years🎉 with Northcentral Construction.

Thirty years is a remarkable milestone, and we never take it lightly when someone chooses to spend that much of their career with our company. The loyalty, hard work, leadership, and experience that come with 30 years cannot be replaced.

Thank you, Al, for everything you have done for Northcentral Construction over the years. We are truly grateful for you.

Over the past few months, we’ve been visiting school districts throughout the area, bringing some of our apprentices along with us.

Last week, our team was in Ripon, where one of our apprentices shared his experience in carpentry, why he chose this path, and what it’s like to be part of Northcentral Construction. He did a fantastic job.

We’re proud of our team and the way they represent the trades.

National Apprenticeship Week is wrapping up, but what this represents is bigger than just one week.

Our first apprentices started back in 1989, and two are still with Northcentral Construction today. One has grown into a Site Manager role after working their way up over the years.

Since then, 23 apprentices have graduated from our program.

This fall, three apprentices will enter their fourth year, and four more will be getting started.

Along the way, our apprentices have earned national recognition, with top finishes in competitions and Safety Awards.

Apprenticeship = Opportunity.

It’s National Apprenticeship Week, and at Northcentral Construction, we’re very proud of our apprentices and the future they're building.

Through our apprenticeship program, students can earn while they learn, gain hands-on experience on real job sites, and build a career with little to no student debt. For those looking for an alternative to traditional college, it can be an incredible path forward.

We’re grateful for our apprentices and encouraged every day as we watch them learn, grow, and build their future in the trades.
