I have posted these desks in the past and we decided it might be better off if we take out the glass and pour an epoxy top. I took on the challenge and it failed terribly… The epoxy hardened but there were tons of bubbles and it wasn’t right. I sanded everything down and poured another layer of epoxy and this time not all of the exopy hardeneded and it didn’t cure correctly. After all of this happened I completely restarted and rebuilt the tops from scratch. I decided to make the trim wrap around the glass instead of butting the glass to the trim. This and a little transition strip between the two pieces of glsss will prevent dust and other things from falling into the crack. All in all this was quite the experience but I think the new tops look pretty good.
