Ill say it again, all houses HAVE to start with a strong foundation.. NO block piers here on this crawlspace. The main support beam that will carry the entire floor system and weight of the partition walls and ceiling loads will be placed directly ontop of those piers... why would a builder use block? Because its cheap. More money goes in their pocket, at the expense of YOUR home.

Do your research BEFORE you hire a builder. Dont learn from mistakes after its too late...

Ask technical questions about the structural integrity of how the house will be built, dont get caught up on the flashy finishes...and if they cant give you a soild answer, then they cant give you a soild foundation.
