Just an FYI. This is a long read but it needs to be said.
Your insurance adjust, lawn guy, tree cutter, roofer, siding guy, handyman and bug guy have zero clue what it takes to legally, properly and successfully remove bats from a structure . And keep them out !
That’s why they are not wildlife control operators.
We just had a customer get told by a State Farm adjuster that she has 5 spots the bats are getting in and it should cost her just a couple hundred dollars. NONE of those spots are main entry points for her bat problem. They are the very obvious potential spots. But non are actually being used at this time.
He should not be speaking on this matter. As he has zero knowledge on the subject.
This job has an extensive amount of potential openings and 4 main entry points (non of which he identified) . It’s was quoted at much much higher that a couple hundred dollars . And his lack of knowledge and wrong diagnosis of what it will take has the customer confused and upset.
There is a reason you hire a professional to do what they are trained and knowledgeable on. And not a person in a different field .
That said . Make sure you check references. There are some companies that claim they do bats and have zero knowledge of it. And only get trusted because of their name.
Hiring a person or company that doesn’t know what they are doing. Or letting them tell you about something they are not trained for is like asking your pharmacist to tell you how your heart surgeon should perform your heart transplant.
