As a greenhouse owner, you know summer heat is more than just a hot day. It can put your entire operation under pressure.

If your fans are running constantly, temperatures aren’t recovering overnight, humidity is getting harder to control, and your cooling costs keep climbing, your greenhouse is telling you something.

Don’t wait until heat stress starts showing up in your crop. Take a look at what your structure and climate control system are working against now, while you still have time to make adjustments.

Uneven growth and patchy development can be signs that your canopy is not getting consistent airflow or CO₂ distribution.

You can have the right enrichment levels on paper and still have plants missing out where it matters.

Building for proper airflow and distribution from the start can help you get more from your enrichment investment.

When you’re running a cannabis grow, there’s no one size fits all setup.

Maybe you’re focused on dialing in your current production. Maybe you’re planning for more capacity down the road. Either way, your structure needs to work for the way you grow, not force you into someone else’s setup.

That’s where we come in. We work with growers to build practical greenhouse solutions around what’s happening on the ground today and where the operation is headed tomorrow.

Let’s talk about what you’re building.

Before we start talking about construction, there are some basic questions that need to be answered.

What are you growing?
How are you growing it?
How much production do you need?
How will the greenhouse be heated and cooled?
What does your irrigation system look like?
How will your employees move through the space?
What happens if the operation grows?

Those answers help determine what the greenhouse needs to do.

That's the part of the process that can get overlooked. But the decisions made before construction have a lot to do with how well the greenhouse works once production begins.

If you're considering a greenhouse project, give us a call. Let's talk about what you're trying to build before we start talking about how to build it.

Spider mites. Thrips. Aphids. Whiteflies. Powdery mildew.

These are problems growers know all too well.

We partner with Terra Vera because we believe biological solutions have an important place in a well-rounded crop protection program.

The goal is simple: stay ahead of the problem instead of chasing it once it starts.

One thing we've learned from working with growers is that you can't always look at a greenhouse project based only on what you need today.

A lot of businesses have a plan to grow. Maybe that means adding more growing space, increasing production, bringing in another crop, or adding equipment as the operation gets bigger.

Those plans matter when you're designing the greenhouse. We've seen projects where something that seemed simple to add later ended up being much more complicated and expensive because the infrastructure wasn't planned for it from the beginning.

We're not saying you need to build everything all at once. But if you know where you want the business to go, it's worth talking about that before construction starts.

We've built enough greenhouses to know that a little planning up front can save a lot of headaches later.

If you're thinking about a new greenhouse or expanding your operation, give us a call. Let's talk about where you're headed.

One thing we've learned over the years is that small environmental changes can have a bigger impact than most people expect.

A single degree may not seem like much, but over an entire growing cycle it can influence crop timing by several days. That's why experienced growers focus on consistency, not just hitting a target temperature.

How do you maintain consistent conditions in your greenhouse?

We've found that many growers don't ask about wind ratings until after they've started comparing structures.

It's one of those details that's easy to overlook, but it can make a big difference depending on where you're growing. If you're planning a new greenhouse, it's a conversation worth having before you make your decision.

Have questions about wind ratings or greenhouse design? We're here to help. Contact us to discuss the right structure for your operation.

Keeping pests under control starts long before you spot them.

A well-designed greenhouse creates the conditions for healthier plants by supporting proper airflow and environmental control. Pair that with Terra Vera's clean pest management solutions, and growers have a stronger approach to protecting their crop from the ground up.

Temperature is important, but airflow is what keeps a greenhouse performing day after day.

Poor ventilation can lead to excessive heat, higher humidity, plant stress, and increased disease pressure. That's why ventilation should be considered early in the design process, not after construction.

Every greenhouse is different, and the right ventilation strategy depends on your crops, climate, and production goals.

Thinking about a new greenhouse? Let's discuss a design that works for your operation today and for years to come.
