☀️ Colorado is DRY — and this year feels different.
We work outside every single day, and we’re seeing conditions that are pretty concerning. Lawns, native areas, trees, and landscapes across Northern Colorado are showing serious signs of drought and heat stress.
Even properties with irrigation are struggling to keep up. Brown or thinning turf doesn’t always mean your lawn needs more fertilizer or another w**d treatment — sometimes it simply cannot get enough moisture to keep up with what Mother Nature is taking out of it.
💧 A few things to keep in mind right now:
Check that every irrigation zone is getting good, even coverage.
Watch for dry spots around edges, slopes, sidewalks, and driveways.
Avoid mowing too short — keep your turf a little taller during this stress.
Don’t assume brown grass is dead. Dormant and drought-stressed turf can recover.
Remember that trees and shrubs need water too, especially newer plantings.
