With the recent storms, many homeowners may be dealing with roof damage. As you begin repairs, please remember to protect yourself by hiring a licensed roofing contractor.
Before work begins:
- Make sure your contractor obtains the required building permit.
- Ensure they install Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, as required by the Town.
- After the work is complete, confirm that the final inspection is completed so the permit can be properly closed.
To make the process easier, the Town also offers virtual roof inspections.
Taking these simple steps helps ensure your roof is installed to code, protects your investment, and provides peace of mind that the work has been properly inspected.
