Jevin Manderscheid, Project Manager
Jevin grew up in Marion and grew up helping his dad with home projects, and said he enjoyed the satisfaction of seeing a project once it was completed - so he attended UNI to major in Construction Management. While in school, Jevin interned at Woodruff as a Superintendent intern in 2021, was hired as an Assistant Project Manager in 2022 and promoted to Project Manager in 2023. Jevin said his biggest accomplishment at Woodruff was his promotion, and being able to estimate and run his own jobs after only a year of being hired on full time. His professional goals include growing as a PM and getting able to do bigger and better projects.
"What drew me to intern with Woodruff was location of offices," he said. "Waterloo for college, and Tiffin as I wanted to move back to the Cedar Rapids area when I graduated, and seeing the career path opportunities Woodruff provided."
Jevin enjoys being challenged with projects that require a different set of skills and approach, and how each day or week he's doing something different. Service to others is his favorite Core Value, because he enjoys building relationships with owners.
"I think being an ESOP company sets us apart from other companies because it allows each employee to benefit directly from the success of each project," he said.
Jevin's advice to anyone who is a new employee, or is considering a career in construction, would be to "keep an open mind and a willingness to learn," he said.
