to one of our most special projects.

Black Beard's Beach Water Park at Grapeland Heights. Miami's very first water park. And one of the projects that, when we look back, reminds us exactly why we do this work.

RDC served as General Contractor for the entire complex. The water park was home to the first-ever Myrtha Lazy River ever built — a milestone we're still proud of today.

World-renowned artist Romero Britto transformed every corner into a living work of art. And at the entrance stands Tina — a 15-foot pirate girl statue named after our own Christina Cerrone. Britto spent the day with her during the project, and liked her so much, he put her at the front door. Forever.

Every kid who's ever walked into that park has been greeted by her. That's not a project. That's a legacy.

208 private pools. 62 floors. One iconic tower.

RDC Design & Build is proud to be the Design/Build aquatic contractor for Bentley Residences Miami — set to become the world's tallest oceanfront residential building upon completion in 2028.

Each of the 216 residences will feature its own private pool, engineered with Myrtha's modular stainless steel technology — tested to withstand winds of 282 km/h. From floor 3 to the penthouses on floor 60, over 3,600 m² of water surface. The equivalent of three Olympic pools. In a single skyscraper.

As our President Joe Cerrone puts it:
"RDC and Myrtha have been working together for 33 years, delivering numerous landmark projects. Myrtha was the only possible choice for Bentley Residences, thanks to its combination of precision in construction, proven technology, design excellence and engineering support."

Dust off the archives 📼 — these are real vintage shots from 1995, when RDC built the very first Myrtha stainless steel pool system ever installed in the United States, right here at Coral Springs Aquatic Complex.
We came back years later to renovate the dive well and 50-meter pool with Myrtha's RenovAction System, then again in 2002 to add Florida's first Myrtha "soft walk" teaching pool.
Three decades. Three phases. One partnership that's still going strong.

This week, the RDC team spent time hands-on with construction technique training — panel assembly, precision fitting, the fundamentals that make every install right the first time.

80,000 square feet. 82 acres. One city's vision — fully realized.

The City of Doral asked us to help design a place where the community would actually want to spend time. What we delivered was South Florida's most ambitious public recreation facility and it just landed in the 2026 Architectural Showcase.

A 50-meter competition pool. A leisure pool. Water slides. A full fitness center with floor-to-ceiling views of the waterway. A curved canopy that shelters drop-offs from the Florida rain. Every detail designed with purpose.

This is what it looks like when architecture serves people.

A heartfelt thank you and congratulations to every single person who poured their talent, time, and dedication into bringing this project to life — from the design team to the contractors, consultants, and the City of Doral. This achievement belongs to all of you.
