🚨 GANODERMA PALM DISEASE IN SOUTH FLORIDA 🚨

Ganoderma Butt Rot is one of the most destructive palm tree diseases affecting properties across Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, and South Florida.

This fungal disease is caused by Ganoderma zonatum, a soil-borne fungus that infects the lower trunk and root system of palm trees. Once infected, the fungus slowly destroys the internal structural tissue of the palm — cutting off nutrients and water from the inside out.

⚠️ The dangerous part?
By the time you see symptoms (wilting fronds, drooping canopy, conks/mushroom growth at the base), the internal damage is already severe.

How it spreads:
• Spores released from infected palms travel through the air
• Contaminated soil movement spreads the fungus
• Root-to-root contact between nearby palms
• Improper stump grinding or leaving infected material behind

🚨 GANODERMA Palm Disease in South Florida 🚨
(Yes — it’s spelled Ganoderma, and it’s deadly for palms.)

If you live in Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, or anywhere in South Florida, this is something you NEED to know.

🌴 Ganoderma Butt Rot is a fungal disease that attacks the base of palm trees.
It rots the trunk from the inside out — and once symptoms show, the palm is usually structurally compromised.

⚠️ Common Signs:
• Wilting or drooping fronds
• Thinning canopy
• Brown, dead lower leaves
• Soft or hollow trunk base
• A shelf-like mushroom (conk) growing near the bottom

There is NO cure for Ganoderma.
Once infected, the palm can become a safety hazard — especially during storms and hurricane season in South Florida.
