Work continues in Lee County, FL, as our crew continues to upgrade Corkscrew Road in Estero. 🚧 In addition to adding lanes, we're constructing landscaped medians and upgrading more than 3.5 miles of utilities including potable watermain, raw watermain, and sewer force main. Happy - In 2017, the FNGLA (Florida Nursery, Growers & Landscape Association) recognized Bergeron with Award of Excellence for the Port Everglades Southport Turning Notch Project. Bergeron shared the honor with project team members Miller Legg, Earth Balance, The Chappell Group, Inc., Terramar Environmental Services Inc., and DeRose Design Consultants.

As part of the Port Everglades Turning Notch Extension, Bergeron Land Development was responsible for replacing almost nine acres of an existing mangrove conservation easement with almost 17 acres of invasive trees and miscellaneous materials into a thriving mangrove wetlands area with approximately 70,000 red and black mangroves and some buffer species trees to complete the area. https://ow.ly/3QZh50Z4HNC

The annual Florida Python Challenge™ will kick-off Friday, July 10th. Registered participants will compete for $25,000 in prizes while removing invasive Burmese pythons from the Everglades. “Removing Burmese pythons from this ecosystem is critical to the survival of the native species that call this area home. We appreciate our partners at the MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Everglades National Park as we continue to work together to raise awareness about invasive species. This is a great way for the public to get involved in protecting the Everglades, and I want to thank everyone participating in the 2026 Florida Python Challenge.
