Its official, we have recovered 500,000 tires from the Osborne site. The site looks nothing like it did in this video, it is just bare sand now. We are spot cleaning some small patches of tires that were left behind. When we get a large storm, it could reveal more tires that were buried under the sand. We have been working on this project for 10 years and it may be coming to an end soon. We will be sad the project is over because it has become a part of our daily life for the last 10 years, but we are happy the cleanup has been a success and helped improve the quality of our local reefs.
