The goal is to raise $8,200 to pack 20,000 meals, giving every student at Tega Cay Elementary the opportunity to pack approximately 30 meals to help fight hunger.

It’s kids helping kids — and we can’t think of a better reason for our community to come together. 💛

🌍❤️ A BIG announcement for Tega Cay! ❤️🌍

We are incredibly excited to announce a new community partnership between Tega Cay, SC Lions Club, Tega Cay Elementary, and Tega Cay Live that will make a meaningful impact both here at home and around the world.

This November, we’re bringing Rise Against Hunger to Tega Cay. Together, our goal is to package and donate 20,000 life changing meals for families facing hunger across the globe.

Every one of the 686 students at Tega Cay Elementary School will have the opportunity to participate during the school day on Friday, November 6, with no fundraising required from students or their families.

To make that possible, we need to raise $8,200 to cover the cost of the meals and supplies. Maybe it’s no coincidence that Tega Cay was founded in 1982. We’re hoping our community will rally around this goal and show what makes Tega Cay so special. ❤️

The exciting news is that we’re already more than halfway to our goal thanks to the incredible generosity of the Tega Cay Lions Club, Tega Cay Live, and few early sponsors. We can’t wait to recognize these amazing supporters in the coming weeks!

This event is about so much more than packing meals…

❤️ Students will learn the importance of serving others and giving back.

🌍 They’ll discover how Rise Against Hunger is changing lives around the world.

🦁 They’ll learn about the mission of the Tega Cay Lions Club and hopefully be inspired to become future Leo Lions.

⚖️ They’ll participate in a hands on STEM experience by measuring ingredients, practicing teamwork, solving problems, and working together toward a common goal.

🤝 Most importantly, they’ll experience firsthand how an entire community can come together to change lives.

❤️ $25 sponsors 2 students and provides 60 meals, but we welcome donations of ANY amount!

🚧 BEHIND THE SCENES WEDNESDAY 🚧

Not every day on the job goes according to plan. 😅

Our conveyor system decided it was taking the day off… but the work still has to get done. 💪

Behind every finished outdoor space are equipment hiccups, unexpected problems, quick decisions, and a crew figuring out how to keep the project moving.

Construction tip: Always expect the unexpected. Good planning matters—but knowing how to adjust when something doesn’t go as planned matters just as much.
