A dream fulfilled…
After over two decades working in auto-body repair/painting and a few years in the oil field, Dwayne Malone decided to make his dream of starting a business a reality. In 1999, while still working their full-time jobs, Dwayne, and his brother Rick, along with their spouses started doing remodeling and construction jobs working after hours and weekends for local realtors. They quickly landed their first big job with the State Patrol office near Fort Morgan, giving them the ability to purchase their first trailer and equipment.
They soon became so busy that Dwayne quit his regular job and started Do-Rite Remodeling & Construction, going full time, and hiring an additional person. A few years later Rick Malone joined the company full time, and in 2002 another brother, Steve Malone joined the company moving back to Fort Morgan after 18 years. They then started running two full time crews.
They have been approved providers for the State Medicaid Waiver Program since 2001, providing home modifications for the disabled and elderly in all of northeastern Colorado as well as remodeling/construction contractors for the State Division of Wildlife at the fish hatcheries, Department of Public Safety, and Colorado Parks and Recreation.
In 2005 they started an additional business, Do-Rite Powder Coating. Sadly, Rick passed away in 2021, and today Steve Malone is running the construction crew while Dwayne focuses on the powder coating.
