Since joining iMold this year, Leswin has gone above and beyond. He came to his managers with a plan to improve the functionality and organization of our warehouse — and then took the initiative to start making it happen.

From his knowledge and willingness to lead emergency water restoration projects, to helping train our Restoration Apprentices, to consistently earning great feedback and Google reviews from our customers, Leswin has quickly made an impact.

We are always trying to improve and we know the little things matter.

At iMold, one of our core values is a commitment to continuous improvement.

Before loading up today, our team took a few extra minutes to perform routine vehicle inspections. It’s a simple routine, but one that reflects how we approach everything we do.

Property damage restoration is messy work. Our trucks won’t always stay spotless, but we believe our customers deserve a team that takes pride in the details—from clean uniforms and organized equipment to well-maintained vehicles, thorough documentation, and clear communication.

We’ve found that when we consistently pay attention to the little things, customers can feel more confident trusting us with the big things.

🔥 5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Fire & Smoke Damage 🔥

While the rainy season is finally kicking up across Southwest Florida — helping pull us out of drought and the brush fires that came with it — house fires don't slow down. Between lightning strikes and everyday accidents, fire and smoke damage stays just as prevalent right through hurricane season. So while you're prepping for the next named storm, don't let fire and smoke damage fall off your radar too.🌩️

Fire damage is about way more than what you can see. Here are a few facts that might surprise you:

1️⃣ Soot particles are TINY. We're talking 0.1 to 4 microns — so small they can slip behind closed cabinet doors, into drawers, and deep into carpet fibers. That's why a "small" fire can still mean whole-home cleaning.

2️⃣ Smoke chases the cold. Smoke is naturally drawn to cooler surfaces, which is why you'll often find the heaviest soot near AC vents, mirrors, and windows — even in rooms far from the fire itself.

3️⃣ There's an actual "heat line." Ever notice a faint line on the walls after a fire? That's the heat line, and restoration pros use it to map exactly how high heat and smoke traveled through a room.

4️⃣ Soot + water = acid. When soot residue mixes with moisture (even humidity!), it can become acidic and start corroding metal and staining surfaces — which is exactly why fast response matters after a fire.

5️⃣ Not all smoke is created equal. Wood, paper, and cotton leave a very different residue than melted plastics or a kitchen grease fire. Each type calls for its own cleaning approach — one size does NOT fit all in fire restoration.

💧 Notice a Ceiling Stain? Here's What Every Property Manager Should Do Next.

A ceiling stain may seem like a minor maintenance issue—but more often than not, it's a sign that water has already traveled through the building.

Even if the stain feels dry to the touch, the source of the moisture may still be active. Catching it early can help prevent costly repairs, mold growth, tenant complaints, and unnecessary disruption.

Here's what we recommend:

✅ Don't ignore it.
A ceiling stain rarely fixes itself. Water often travels before it becomes visible, so the stain may not be directly below the source of the leak.

📸 Document it immediately.
Take clear photos and note the location, date, and whether the stain changes in size, color, or texture. Good documentation can also help support insurance claims if needed.

🔍 Look for other signs of moisture.
Check for bubbling paint, soft drywall, musty odors, sagging ceilings, nearby plumbing fixtures, HVAC equipment, or recent roof leaks. These clues can help identify the source.

🎨 Avoid simply painting over it.
Covering the stain may improve the appearance temporarily, but it doesn't solve the underlying moisture issue. If water is still present, the damage can continue behind the walls and ceilings.

💧 Verify that the structure is actually dry.

🎉 Big congratulations to John Campbell on his promotion to Operations Manager! 🎉

Recenthly highlighted by C&R Magazine, John's growth over the years has been nothing short of impressive. A lifelong Florida resident and 17-year veteran of the restoration industry, John joined iMold as a Lead Technician and worked his way up to Assistant Production Manager — first in Fort Myers, then in Sarasota as we expanded our footprint north. Now, he's stepping into a bigger role, leading operations across Sarasota, Manatee, and Hillsborough Counties.

What makes John stand out is his willingness to wear every hat the job requires — estimating, project managing, building new business relationships, and still getting his hands dirty on-site with his crews when it counts. 🌭 Chili Cheese Dogs. One Great Cause. 🇺🇸 Last week Team iMold kicked off the Fourth of July in a way only our team could...

We proudly sent our Owner/CEO, Adam Metauro, to represent Team iMold in City Tavern's Annual Chili Cheese Dog Eating Contest to help raise money for Family Initiative, Inc. organized by City Tavern!

The goal wasn't to win—it was to support local families and raise awareness for an organization doing incredible work for children with autism and their families throughout Southwest Florida.

To everyone's surprise (including Adam's 😅), he powered through 11 chili cheese dogs in 15 minutes, earning 2nd Place!

Even better, $120 was pledged for every dog eaten, which means together we were able to donate over $1,300 to Family Initiative.

A huge thank you to everyone who cheered Adam on, donated, and helped make this a fun way to give back. We're proud to support organizations that make such a meaningful impact in our community.

Congratulations to everyone who participated—and to Family Initiative for the life-changing work you do every day.
