Infrastructure projects are often the work no one notices until it's needed most.

GCG recently completed a series of improvements at MarineMax Venice, including the replacement of electrical pedestals, installation of new water lines, and paving upgrades throughout the marina.

Waterfront facilities depend on reliable utility infrastructure to support daily operations, vessel owners, and visitors. These improvements help position the marina for continued service and long term functionality.

Projects like this require coordination, planning, and ex*****on in active environments where minimizing disruption is just as important as delivering quality work.

The project is entering a new phase as the building is now fully dried in, with all doors installed and the structure secured. With the shell complete, attention is shifting toward the details that will define the finished product, from exterior architectural features and finishes to the systems that keep the building running behind the scenes.

Beyond the building itself, work is also expanding across the site through coordination on lighting, utility infrastructure, landscaping, and tenant improvements. It's an exciting point in the process where progress becomes visible from every angle and the finished vision starts to come into focus.

Exciting things are on the horizon for Estero.

GCG Construction and Abel Construction Company are preparing to break ground on Estero Oaks Retail Center, a new 14,000-square-foot neighborhood retail destination coming to South Fort Myers. Located within the larger Estero Oaks mixed-use development, the center is designed to serve the area's growing residential, healthcare and business communities with flexible space for restaurants, retail, medical offices and service-oriented businesses.

With all major development approvals secured and construction set to begin this summer, the project is moving from vision to reality. Strategically positioned near Florida Gulf Coast University and several major growth corridors, Estero Oaks Retail Center is poised to become a convenient gathering place for both residents and visitors while supporting the continued growth of the surrounding community. The transformation at Sanctuary Golf and Social Club is becoming more visible with each passing week. Interior wall framing is well underway, while mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins continue to move forward across the project.

While much of this work happens behind the scenes, it's what sets the foundation for everything that follows. With each milestone, the future club becomes a little easier to imagine and a lot closer to reality.

A milestone moment for the extended Abel family this past weekend as Jacob Abel took the green flag in the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 under Abel Motorsports.

Competing on one of the biggest stages in motorsports reflects the same qualities we value in construction every day: preparation, precision, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure. Jacob represented the Abel Motorsports team with determination throughout an incredibly competitive field, finishing 24th in one of racing’s most historic events.

Everyone at GCG is proud to celebrate this accomplishment alongside the entire Abel family. Congratulations to Jacob and the entire Abel Motorsports team on an unforgettable achievement at Indianapolis.

Earlier this month, the GCG team joined partners and project collaborators to celebrate the grand opening of Ideal Nutrition .

It was a great opportunity to step back, see the finished space fully operational, and recognize the teamwork that helped bring the project together from concept to completion. We’re proud to have played a role in delivering a space that will now serve the Estero community for years to come.

Thank you to everyone involved in making the project and the celebration a success.
