There’s something satisfying about a project where every detail has to work together — design, function, proportions, storage, finish work, and flow. This custom closet on Lookout Mountain was one of those projects.

Really grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside designers Rachel and Susan on bringing this space together. Like any detailed custom build, there were a couple small hiccups along the way, but that’s part of the process when you’re creating something tailored specifically to a home and client. We worked through the details together and ended up with a space that feels clean, functional, and truly built-in.

From the cabinetry layout to the finish details, this one was all about maximizing the space while still keeping a refined, furniture-style feel.

Always thankful for clients and designers who value craftsmanship and trust the process. Looking forward to sharing more from this project soon.

I am going to do a series of posts on the big project that I completed last year for the Long family. I was finally able to connect with the homeowner to capture some good after pictures. I’m going to do my best to show the photos that best tell the story.

We’re going to start in the bourbon room. This is my favorite room in the project.

Russell showed me a picture of what he wanted and we made it happen.

There were many hours involved in each step to bring about the final result. I hope you enjoy this series of posts!

There are certain projects that remind you why craftsmanship still matters.

This walnut fireplace feature was one of those projects.

It was a privilege working alongside Dana Faler on our first collaboration together. Dana brought a strong vision and incredible attention to detail to this project, and it was rewarding working through the design together to bring everything to life. I’m grateful for the trust she placed in me and excited for what I believe will be many future projects together.

Every piece of walnut in this installation was individually milled and handcrafted in my shop. From the custom grid layout to the unique trim package surrounding the fireplace, every detail was intentionally designed to create something truly one of a kind for Chelsea and Matt’s home.

Projects like this don’t come together without challenges. There were a lot of details to refine along the way, but that collaborative process is ultimately what helped elevate the final result. One of my favorite parts was watching Chelsea and Matt’s excitement grow as each phase came together and the vision slowly became reality.

Very grateful for the opportunity, the collaboration, and the chance to create something timeless.

Custom work like this is why I love what I do.

Just wrapped up a pantry project for Connie and David Jones, and this one was special from start to finish.

They were referred to me by Laurie—always grateful when great people connect me with more great people. Connie teaches fitness classes and brings that same energy into her home, and David, who oversees maintenance for Delta Airlines, definitely appreciates things being done right. Their daughter, who’s in high school, took a real interest in the whole process, which made it even more rewarding to see it come together through her eyes.

Their home sits at the end of a long gravel driveway, tucked back where it’s quiet—you might even catch a few deer moving through the property. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the work a little more.

Like most real projects, we hit a couple of hiccups along the way—but that’s part of the process. Everything was addressed, corrected, and finished the way it should be.

Connie has had her pantry contents spread all over the house during the build, so I know she’s more than ready to get everything back in place—and now she has a space that’s not only functional, but something they’re genuinely excited about.

Grateful for the trust, the referral, and another project done right.

Here are some before and after photos. One great addition is the tower we installed on the left side of the far wall. This feature added a great amount of storage!

Shop work today.

A stack of ripped plywood strips ready for assembly.

Anyone want to guess what this is about to become?

First person to guess it right wins bragging rights.

Hint: it’s going into a home somewhere in North Georgia.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to build a custom pantry for the Haire family in Acworth.

They were connected to me through Mandy Spence, someone I’ve known for many years and is also a satisfied former customer. Her family has been part of my life since high school, and those connections continuing forward all these years later is something I don’t take lightly.

When I first saw the space, it wasn’t that anything was wrong with it — it just wasn’t working the way it could for their family. Like most pantries, things had slowly become stacked, crowded, and harder to use day-to-day.

We talked through what would serve them best — something clean, intentional, and built specifically for their home.

Over the next few days, that space was transformed piece by piece. Solid shelving, fitted precisely. A place where everything has purpose. Something built not just to look good, but to last.

I want to sincerely thank the Haire family for trusting me in their home and allowing me to build something for their family. That kind of trust is never taken for granted.

And I’m grateful for the relationships that continue to open doors and connect good people with my work.

This was one of my favorite projects from earlier this year.

The goal was to create built-ins that felt like they were always meant to be part of the home — something that added warmth, balance, and function without taking away from the space.

The natural wood tones paired with the cabinetry and fireplace really brought everything together.

Projects like this are why I love what I do. Grateful for homeowners who trust me with their homes.

Thank you Aubrey for the business! I'm looking forward to future projects.

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has supported my work over the years — whether you’ve hired me, shared my posts, or recommended me to someone. It truly means more than you know.

As my business continues to grow, I wanted to find a simple way to give back and say thank you in a tangible way.

If you refer someone who books a project with me, I now offer a referral thank-you of $150–$250, depending on the size of the project.

Also, sometimes people recommend me in local groups and I don’t always see it — if you ever tag me or shout me out, feel free to screenshot it and text it to me so I can personally thank you.

No pressure at all — I’m just incredibly grateful for this community and the trust you’ve shown me. ❤️

If you ever know someone who needs custom built-ins, cabinets, or trim work, I’d love to help them.

👉 If I’ve done work for you, feel free to drop a photo in the comments.
👉 If I haven’t yet, drop an inspiration photo from Pinterest of something you’d love in your home someday!
