In loving memory of a company founder Troy Drawdy
Where to start
Drawdy Brothers Construction was a family-owned business with a rich history in the concrete industry. The company was founded in 1979 and had established itself as a reputable contractor specializing in concrete, masonry, and tilt-wall construction. Troy was an integral part of instilling a work ethic, standard of quality, and integrity where his motto was “let your yes be yes and your no be no.” Still today in 2026 you can see the foundations that were laid, our people which were his people still perform concrete work with the same dedication and quality.
Transition to 2016 a simple name change to Drawdy Concrete with two new owners. No big parties, no fan fare just me and Jen went to work like we had for twenty years. When you become a company owner most think you can just do what you want to, golf on Wednesday and lunches five days a week. Not us, we had been mentored and trained by the best where you were expected to be the first one there and the last one to leave. Leaders were expected to set the standard, the same standards Troy instilled in us all those years ago. Still today Jen will message me, I’m going to take off tomorrow, my response is you know you own the company don’t you.
Just this past December we invited Troy to attend our company Christmas party, it was amazing to see the employees that had personally worked with Troy just come over to shake his hand and say thank you. No one knows what the future holds but we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Troy for spending “Time” molding us into the company we are today. Time is a simple word, we have so little time here to make a difference in people’s lives, it’s more than just a job, the time spent by Troy listening to a problem with no solution, a problem with a solution, a bad day, and for Troy most of all taking the time to tell everyone he encountered about Jesus.
Drawdy Concrete will continue on and try to pay it forward the same way Troy did by giving freely of our time to make people better.
