Due to forecasted inclement weather, and in coordination with guidance from the Coffee County Emergency Management Agency, City of Enterprise, Ala. leadership, and the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, the City of Enterprise is postponing two major holiday events, the Enterprise Christmas Parade and the Whoville Celebration, to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants, volunteers, vendors, and spectators.

The Enterprise Christmas Parade, originally scheduled for Thursday, December 4, will now take place Thursday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m. in Downtown Enterprise. Presented by Visit Enterprise, this year’s theme is “Christmas Around the World,” inviting floats, marching units, and performers to highlight holiday traditions from around the globe. Beloved blues musician and longtime Enterprise resident Lil’ Jimmy Reed will serve as Grand Marshal.

The Whoville Celebration 2025, previously scheduled for Saturday, December 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature festive vendors, family activities, inflatables, free face painting, and returning favorites including the Who Look-A-Like Contest and Max’s Pet Costume Contest. The Whoville Scavenger Hunt will also shift one week and will be held on the 20th.

While we understand these schedule updates may affect plans for some residents, visitors and vendors, the decision was made thoughtfully to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience possible for all.

Residents are encouraged to follow official City of Enterprise channels for updates regarding maps, vendor layouts, parking, schedules, and additional holiday announcements as the revised dates approach.

The Fort Rucker Community Garden would like to extend its most sincere thank you to Sam and the Scouts of Troop 50!

Sam took it upon himself to renovate our children’s garden as his Eagle Scout project. Through his planning and leadership, the area was cleaned, landscaped, and planted.

Our children’s garden is one of the most utilized areas of the community garden. Now, with the new life it’s been given, we’re excited for youngsters to come enjoy the outdoors, get their hands dirty, and learn about where their food comes from!

It was a privilege to witness the dedication of this very special area of the garden back to the Fort Rucker Community today!

Great work Sam!
