Gunn Park 155-acre Park w- Beautiful Landscape & Stone Features, Playgrounds, 8.5 mi. Electric hookup is $8 per day/per slot. Tent camping is $4 per day.

There are 14 camping slots in Gunn Park total (2- 50 amp., 12 30-amp). Bathrooms available. No sewer dump, will need to use dump station at Bourbon County Fairgrounds. Gunn Park shelter houses (there are 7 total) may also be rented by contacting City Hall. Enclosed shelter houses rent for $10 per day, and exposed shelter houses rent for $5 per day. There are 2 lakes available for fishing, 18-hole frisbee golf and 5 miles of trails for biking/hiking. Money may be left in self-contained box at Gunn Park or mailed to the following:

After a few years away, the TRI-YAK-A-THON is making its return to Gunn Park! 🏃‍♀️🛶🚴‍♂️

🏃 5K Trail Run
🛶 5K River Kayak
🚴 10K Mountain Bike Trail Ride

Whether you're racing for time, looking for a new challenge, or just want to have some fun on the trails and river — we'd love to see a great turnout for the return of this Fort Scott event!

The last Rainbow Trout stocking of Gunn Park's Fern Lake was this afternoon. Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) Fisheries Biologist, Don George said there were approximately 500 pounds, or 850 fish released today. The average fish in this release is 1.5-2 pounds. Last month's delivery included much larger breeding stock so there is a good mix of sizes. The program is a partnership between KDWP and the city of Fort Scott.
