Today concludes Architecture Week 2026 – Architecture Week celebrates the profession of Architecture and invites everyone, especially K-12 students, to explore architecture and design.

Here at MAHG, Architecture is so much more to us than designing a building. It’s designing thoughtful, healthy spaces that bring people together and improve our communities. Spaces that serve as the foundation to educate and inspire the next generation!

The MAHG team spent the morning doing our little part of a much larger community wide initiative known as the United Way Day of Caring 2026. This year we helped with landscaping and cleanup for the Community Dental Clinic Fort Smith. It brings us joy to be able to give back to the community we live and work in!

Check out the United Way of Fort Smith website for more information about what this great organization does for our community. https://www.unitedwayfortsmith.org/

MAHG Architecture loves working on buildings that help create an outstanding service to our local communities. We’re proud to celebrate with Fort Smith Public Schools on the completion of the new School-Based Health Clinic at the Darby Middle School campus, created in partnership with Mercy Health to bring convenient, accessible care to students, their parents, and the surrounding neighborhoods.
The clinic features exam rooms, a lab, therapy spaces, offices, and support areas—centered around a calming, double-height waiting space filled with natural light and soft finishes designed to put patients at ease.

A healthier community starts right here.

Learning from construction! Today the MAHG team took a break from deskwork to visit a project under construction. Time was spent learning by seeing and discussing construction related items that will help us better serve our clients in the future.

Color Selections!

A regular sight when visiting MAHG Architecture is a table full of finish samples. It’s something our designers love doing and is a key part in our design process. Each project we sit down with our clients to review samples of these selections, and it’s always fun to see them enjoy getting to help pick and analyze the selections with us!

A big win for the Dragons!
MAHG Architecture is proud to celebrate with Mountainburg Public Schools on the completion of the Dragon Activity Center — a new home for basketball, volleyball, and a large band room designed to support the school’s growing band program. With a spacious arena, welcoming lobby, and generous concessions, the facility is built for tournaments, packed game nights, stage performances, and large school events like graduation.

Throwing it back 90 years to 1936!

MAHG (then the Haralson & Mott Firm) designed the iconic Mayo-Thompson Stadium at Fort Smith High School, which would eventually be renamed Northside High School. This structure didn’t just host football; it was built to house locker rooms, classrooms, and band functions right under the grandstand. For decades, it was one of the largest high school football stadiums in the state, even pre-dating Razorback Stadium at the University of Arkansas! MAHG is back on-site today as part of a large re-roofing project at Northside, giving the expansion joints at this historic structure some TLC to ensure this facility stays strong for many future generations.

Fun fact: Check out the vintage Model Ts on the construction site in these photos. 🚗
