Monday job update:

The crew at 7 Brew Coffee is taking big steps. They have completed erosion control, all the demo work, earthwork, undercuts, water line, and are starting to get sanitary lines in the ground. The 7 Brew building was delivered and placed last week as well.

The guys at Myron Meadows have been working hard to get the site up to grade. They have dug and backfilled two borrow pits, dug and put to grade a pond, and are putting the final touches on site grade. Pipe should be going into the ground this week.

We also had a crew down in Marion getting Zaxby’s ready for asphalt and a crew putting the final touches on a new distillery in North West Fort Wayne.

Long days, hard work, and a lot of determination is what it takes to keep a job flowing. Although the weather has not been in our favor, both crews have been working through it to keep the jobs moving along.

2026 Nivek Earthworks employee appreciation dinner.

We are extremely grateful for our team who makes sacrifices day in and day out to build quality projects for our customers and community. These guys and their families are the backbone of this company and are the reason all of this is possible. Although some of the team was unable to attend, it was a great night celebrating and getting excited for everything this year has in store.

Assist with site prep, digging, install underground utilities, and cleanup
Work alongside equipment operators and foremen
Load/unload materials and tools
Follow safety procedures and keep job sites organized

Willingness to learn and take direction
Construction or excavation experience is a plus (not required)

Bubba’s 33, what an awesome project we are proud to have been a part of this year. There were a lot of early mornings and late evenings that went into keeping this project on schedule. We can’t thank our crews, suppliers and subcontractors enough for their dedication and quality work. We couldn’t have done it without you guys!

New McAlister’s Deli coming to Fort Wayne! One of our crews broke ground last week and have made quite the transformation of this job site already. Check out these project stats from the last 7 days on site:
- 350 feet of silt fence installed
- Temporary construction drive installed
- 300 foot long construction drive installed at the pavement dump site
- 1,100 feet of pavement saw cutting
- 55 tri axle loads of asphalt and 4 tri axle loads of concrete removed and hauled off site
- 1 man hole and 130 feet of 24” RCP pipe removed from the ground
- 1 light pole and concrete base removed
- 9 trees and stumps removed from the job site
- De-watered the job site after heavy rains over the weekend
- Almost 600 cubic yards of clay imported to complete a 2.5 foot fill for the building pad
- Cut and filled the job site to achieve the proper parking lot grades
- Had compaction testing completed on each lift of fill placed on the job site

Busy start to the week as we began installing storm sewer for the new Bubba’s 33 in Fort Wayne. Started off with some structures and one big Aqua Swirl!

We have been busy the last couple weeks on multiple projects around Fort Wayne. We have been moving dirt for the new Bubba’s 33 off Coliseum and Eleos Hospice Center off Maplecrest. We have also been clearing land in Grabill for a pond expansion we will be starting later this summer. Stay tuned for pipe work starting next week on both the Bubba’s 33 and Eleos Hospice projects. We hope everyone has a fun and safe Father’s Day weekend!
