JOB TITLE: SUPERINTENDENT
LOCATION: FORT WAYNE, IN
This position will have extensive training with another Superintendent.

Empire Refractory Sales, Inc. is looking for a Superintendent to join our team of the best!

Role and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with our customers.
Have an insatiable desire to bring value to our customers.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of refractory materials, its uses, and various installation methods.
Plan, organize, and manage day to day operations on job sites.
Manage and lead various crew sizes depending on the job site needs.
Oversee and participate in safety meetings and submit documentation to the office.
Responsible for the safety of all employees on job sites.
Determine labor requirements, acquire talent with the help of the office, and schedule workers.
Be a team player and collaborate with all members of the team.
Have a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, listen to the customer’s needs, exceed expectations, and have a systematic plan to follow up.
Most of this positions time will be spent at job sites, visiting customers, and some time in the office.
Other duties as required.
This position reports directly to the company president.

Qualifications:
5+ years of refractory experience.
Applicant must live in or be willing to relocate to Fort Wayne, IN area.
Ability to read and interpret engineered refractory drawings.
Be positive, focused and solution oriented when faced with challenges.
Must have a strong work ethic.
Must possess core values such as honesty, character, and integrity.
Must be willing to travel.
API-936 Certification a plus.

Empire Refractory Sales, Inc. is looking for Refractory Laborers and Bricklayers to join our team of the best! Do not worry if you do not have refractory experience, we will get you the training needed to be successful. Some travel is required for Bricklayers.
Applicants should have a driver’s license or a consistent means of transportation.
Be able to pass a drug test.
Experience in construction labor a plus.
Experience in form building a plus.
Forklift and various hand tools use a plus.
If you have experience, then pay will be commensurate with experience.
Hotels are paid by the company and per diem money given for any overnight stay.
