🌱 PLEASE DON’T TOSS LANDSCAPE WEEDS INTO THE LAWN! 🌱
Pulling weeds from your landscape beds is a good thing. Tossing them into the lawn afterward? Not so much!
When weeds are pulled and thrown into the turf, they may still contain mature seeds that can be spread across the lawn by mowing equipment. Some weeds can also re-root or continue developing seeds even after being pulled.
Plus, piles of weeds and debris left in the lawn can interfere with mowing and leave an otherwise beautiful lawn looking messy.
✅ Pull the weeds.
✅ Bag them or place them with your yard waste.
❌ Don’t toss them into the lawn for the mower to take care of.
Help stop weeds at the source instead of spreading them around your property!

🎄 CHRISTMAS LIGHTS + TREES = DON’T LEAVE THEM UP ALL YEAR! 🌲

These photos are a great reminder of why Christmas lights should be removed from trees after the holiday season.

As a tree grows, light strands wrapped tightly around the trunk and branches can become restrictive. Over time, the tree can begin growing around the wire, potentially damaging the bark and interfering with healthy growth. What started as a holiday decoration can eventually become a problem for the tree.

A few simple tips:

🎄 Remove lights after the holiday season.
🌲 Never tightly wrap wire around trunks or branches.
🔍 If lights are left up for an extended period, check them regularly and loosen or reposition them as the tree grows.
✂️ If a wire has already become embedded in the tree, don’t simply pull it out—have the situation evaluated first.

Christmas lights are temporary. Your trees aren’t.
