Although I use creativity each and every day, I don't know everything, so some of my solutions will be inferior to others. That being said, if you have a plausible solution to an issue, bring it.

This is why you should never try to alter/bypass a safety device in your home.

Wiring in a home can only handle so much electricity flowing through it before burning up or melting. A circuit breaker is designed to stop the flow of electricity once the safe threshold of the wire is exceeded, thus preventing meltdown. Certain breaker sizes are paired up with certain gauge wires. (Think of a safety harness designed to fit your body) When a larger breaker is used with a smaller wire, that smaller wire is no longer protected, (think of a safety harness sized for Andre The Giant used on a child), and the risk of fire increases drastically.

Luckily for my neighbor, there was no fire and this was the extent of the damage over a long period of time.

What is the hardest letter in the English language to pronounce??? The L in caulk.

Cracks like these are normally the result of stress from settling, which is why it is advised that you water around the foundation regularly. Sealing these cracks helps keep excess moisture from entering and causing damage to your home.

The caulk I used goes on white and dries clear.

Bringing in some extra dirt for around a foundation in Saginaw, and will likely need 1 or 2 more truckloads.
Don't let it get this bad! When you have cracks like these, you'll likely have gaps under your foundation which leads to settling and other issues. Runoff caused the dirt to slowly recede from the home and the excessive heat, coupled with a lack of moisture in the soil, made those cracks. Adding some fresh soil will help keep foundation issues to a minimum. You'll want to leave about 4"-6" from the dirt to the bottom of the brick siding to help avoid flooding.

Installed a couple grab bars in Parkview Hills.
Those who know me know that if IIIIIII can pull on the grab bar and it doesn't budge, it ain goin nowhere.
When drilling into tile, make sure to use a drill bit suitable for tile, and go sloooow so as to not crack the tile. Also start with a smaller bit and work your way up if possible.

Had the opportunity to help hang a 65" TV and reposition a light at Boulevard Brew in River Oaks over the weekend. Nice, relaxing coffee shop with kind of a night lounge atmosphere. Brad and Liz are some amazing people and even made me a ham, cheese, and bacon bagel that was soooooo good.

When hanging towel bars especially, I tend to eighty-six the anchors that come with the unit and replace them with toggle bolts. Once pushed into the drywall, they spring open and provide far more support than regular wedge anchors. Of course, if you can find a stud to mount to, then that would be even better.

Replacing garage door trim in Marine Creek Ranch.
Builders often install the wood door trim first, then paint. That process doesn't seal the bottom or back of the wood causing rot after a heavy rain.
I cut the trim and paint front and back in my own garage first, THEN come by and install. This should help preserve the wood for much longer.

Smoke detectors keeping you up at night? Better call Paul!

Neighbor was DESPERATE to stop the noise. We replaced the batteries but the incessant chirp persisted. Since they were nearing the end of their life expectancy, we decided to replace them. She ended up getting a good night's sleep.

Replace batteries twice a year at Daylight Saving Time.
Replace the unit every 10 years. The date stamped on the back is the manufacture date.

Dishwasher repair in Saginaw.

Neighbor said her dishwasher door would slam down if opened. Pulled it out and found both door springs broken. I was able to bend the ends into another hook and reattach them. The door lets down easily again.

In Lake Vista Ranch replacing some exterior lights. I LOVE the photo she took in the evening. Good lighting has suuuch an effect on the curb appeal of a home.

Leaky water spigot in Marine Creek Meadows.

Get. These. Fixed. Before. Winter!

Otherwise you could have more serious issues at hand during freezing temperatures.
