On this home, the roof design created a low-pitch dead valley where water naturally collects instead of draining properly. The issue? This section was originally covered with shingles, which are not designed to handle standing water at a low pitch.
Over time, that led to:

❌ Water pooling in the valley
❌ Shingle breakdown and premature failure
