Our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, it was just the two of us in the middle of gutting and renovating our first home. Jim bought a cheap bottle of wine and printed out a label of an expensive wine and taped it on 🤣 The wine and projects date nights of our early days has turned into completing large historic renovations surrounded by the best family and team there is. We like to think of construction on old homes as restoration, not renovation. While we reconfigure floor plans to better serve modern life, we utilize all the original doors, hardware, and flooring that we can. In cases where we bring in new finishes, like this tile, we opt for the designs and materials that would have been around when the house was first built. Laying marble antique replica mosaic tile is an art and a science, and the finished product is magic ✨
