The convective allowing models are showing supercells developing near the stalled frontal boundary late this afternoon in northwest Texas, moving northeast across north Texas into southern Oklahoma this evening and tonight. These storms have the potential to produce damaging hail, possibly a couple tornadoes and the training nature will lead to flooding. Stay weather aware and bring those pets in and protect your cars

Be on the lookout for severe weather overnight!

🚨SEVERE WEATHER ALERT: A DANGEROUS Nocturnal Situation is shaping up as The tornado threat has been UPGRADED to a Level 3 Risk overnight tonight and into Tuesday morning. This area of increased confidence spans from Oklahoma City to Fort Worth, TX where numerous of tornadoes are expected!

‼️MULTIPLE Supercells are expected to form around 10-11PM in Western Oklahoma/Texas, then move east into a highly moist environment, where they will likely become surface-based near the I-35/44 corridor where Several tornadoes are expected!

⚠️HAVE MULTIPLE WAYS TO RECEIVE WARNINGS!

☔️🌧️ LARGEST RAINFALL AMOUNTS SHIFTING

With a potent storm system just over a day away from traversing , here are the latest expected rainfall totals. North Texas will see the brunt of the heavier rain tomorrow into Thursday with totals of 2-4” (locally higher near the Red River).

Western Texas is looking much drier than previously thought. South Texas looks dry. Southeast Texas rainfall does not look AS wet as previously thought, but may see an inch of rainfall in spots.

WILL IT SNOW? The Panhandle does not look to get cold enough for snow. Generally less than a half inch of rainfall there tomorrow. TX will just barely be missing the winter weather to the north/northwest in OK/KS/CO/NM. We may see an isolated patch of quick sleet early tomorrow morning where surface temps are still below freezing out in West/Northwest Texas (no accumulation).

Wednesday will feature a strong cold front which is poised to bring in numerous storms the evening before Halloween. A few storms may be severe, hazards primarily include 60-70mph wind gusts and sporadic damaging hail. A tornado or two will be possible in Oklahoma.
