We are dedicated to finding the most effective building solutions that align with budgetary, programmatic, and aesthetic needs. Our deep expertise with existing facilities and extensive knowledge of building construction methods make us particularly valuable to clients with older religious buildings. We bring substantial experience in resolving a wide range of complex design and construction issues for both new and historic structures. Our architectural practice spans both contemporary and traditional styles, encompassing new construction, as well as additions and renovations to historic buildings. Typically, projects commence with a facility facility assessment, master planning, or conceptual design phase. We collaborate closely with the building committee to evaluate current issues and prioritize maintenance needs. We then explore the requirements to achieve future goals, integrating maintenance concerns with these goals to develop design solutions that best serve the building and its users.

The Kimball Art Museum in Fort Worth, TX, is one of the world's best art museum buildings. The skylight system and exposed concrete vaulted structure provide beautiful natural light to the museum collections. The use of natural materials throughout provides a wonderful warmth that does not overpower the treasured art, unlike some more recent art museums. It was designed by architect Louis Kahn and completed in 1972. I am so glad to finally visit it in person.

Faith Environ Studio Architects

Mr. Lasch founded Faith Environ Studio to provide architectural services for faith-based and other non-profit clients. Creative problem-solving is used to develop unique solutions to problems of all sizes and complexities. The solutions are then methodically analyzed as a team with our clients to determine the most successful design that meets budget, program, and aesthetic requirements.

Faith Environ Studio has a wealth of experience solving problems that have encompassed a broad range of project types, aesthetic styles, and technical solutions to complex problems in design and construction of both new and old buildings. Our architectural expertise encompasses both contemporary and traditional styles and includes new construction as well as additions and renovations to historic buildings. Past project types include a multitude of religious facilities for many different denominations. Some of Mr. Lasch’s past projects have received local and national architectural awards and have been published in several books and magazines. Sustainable architecture and energy conservation are integral parts of the design process on every project in order to build economically and with high regard for the environment.

Besides his dedication to working on religious architecture projects, Doug enjoys spending time outdoors, bicycling, fly fishing, and photographing architecture during travels.
