We all know heavy rain is making its way to North Texas this week! This doesn’t just mean wet yards and flooded streets. It can put serious stress on your plumbing and drainage systems.
Here are a few problems to watch for when the rain starts pouring:
🚽 Sewer backups – Heavy rainfall can overwhelm sewer systems and contribute to backups
💧 Overflowing cleanouts – If your sewer line is already clogged or restricted, heavy rain can make the problem much worse.
💦 Sump pump problems – Your sump pump works overtime during heavy rain. If it’s clogged, failing, or unable to keep up with the water, your home could be at risk for flooding.
🌳 Sewer line problems – Saturated soil and shifting ground can put additional stress on aging or damaged sewer lines.
🏠 Water intrusion – Poor drainage around your home can allow water to find its way into areas where it shouldn’t be.
Rain or shine, ClearWater Plumbers will be ready to help! Give us a call if you start to notice any of these symptoms this weekend! 💚🦦
